Some of you may have caught his collaboration with fellow L.A. talent tribes., which was a bittersweet R&B-trap jam called ‘Release Me’. Three months later and the vocalist/producer keeps the vibe going with debut track ‘Pink & Blue’. In the same camp as rei brown’s ‘Street Fighter’ or birthday’s ‘Gems’ (where there also seems to be a trend for abandoning capital letters), jy’s ‘Pink & Blue’ combines serenading pop vocals with a soft-centered production that combines trap, guitar refrains, and recurrent piano keys into a sweep-you-off-your-feet melody.
