Buzzy Brighton band The New Eves have made a bold debut with 'Original Sin' - an angsty attempt to re-write ancient narratives surrounding femininity. Made up of multi-instrumentalists Kate Mager (bass), Ella Russell (drums, flute, vocals), Nina Winder-Lind (cello, guitar, vocals) Violet Farrer (violin, guitar, vocals), the outfit's unapologetic approach quickly caught the ears of both Slow Dance and Broadside Hacks, who have jointly release the single alongside 'Mother' - a track which features on Slow Dance's compilation earlier this year. Whilst their sound is rooted in nostalgia, think The Shaggs or Patti Smith circa 1975, there's something undeniably raw, fresh and exciting about The New Eves that we'll be keeping a close eye on.
