Nell Mescal has returned with the fantastic new single, ‘Electric Picnic’, taken from her brand new debut EP. It’s anthemic in its catchiness, both during its more tender verses and its explosive, propulsive chorus. Her voice is not unlike that of Kate Bush at points, though her melodies are more suited to her tender, folk-inspired balladry than complex experimentalism. The track is accompanied by a video that places Mescal in a variety of locations and doused in a kaleidoscope of colours.
