Superet are one of the newest rock bands to come out of L.A. Taking their name from a Latin inscribing on a old L.A. church which translates as “may it overflow”, Superet have been together for just over a year, and in that time have released a steady stream of fantastic singles including ‘Pay It Later’ and ‘Who Is This Guy’. They've also earned themselves a coveted spot on the road supporting Dreamcar. Superet's latest release, ‘Receiver’, shows just how far the band have come, skilfully offsetting heavy rock choruses with quiet, melody-driven verses. The ease with which the band move from one extreme to the other displays a swagger and confidence which harks back to the golden era of rock ‘n’ roll. “May it overflow” indeed. ­-HM
