Russian shoegazers Pinkshinyultrablast have swapped their swirling guitar sound for synthesizers on their glistening new single ‘Dance AM’. The high energy track channels the brassy synth work of Krautrock royalty Kraftwerk, which bubbles away gently beneath singer Lyubov’s always enchanting vocals. The fast-paced motorik drum beat propels ‘Dance AM’ forward at an almost alarming rate, bringing in electronic elements for emphasis in just the right places. Whilst their atmospheric reverb-laden signature sound remains intact, ‘Dance AM’ marks an exciting new direction for Pinkshinyultrablast that we’re thoroughly enjoying. -Holly Mullineaux
