THUNDER JACKSON COLOURS

Three months ago, a mysterious new project surged through the blogosphere - Thunder Jackson. Their underground pop banger ‘Guilty Party’ had listeners clamouring to know know more. We’ve been made to wait, but thankfully the duo who first met in a taxi (talk about serendipity!) is back with fresh new track ‘Colours’. Embracing the elemental power of the colour spectrum, the Welsh-American pair have taken direction inspiration from the words of painter, sculptor and filmmaker Fernand Léger: “man needs colour to live; it's just as necessary an element as fire and water.” Thunder Jackson go on to say that 'Colours' "is about reflecting and accepting the transitory nature of our experiences, explaining "moments of transcendence can be fleeting, full of shadows and shade, truths, and non truths. Forget to dream and day to day life can seem muted. Stay limitless. Stay neon." The variety of playfully produced sounds, which dip into genres of garage, soul, and pop, is a great for metaphor for not being defined by the pre-set models. - HT
