‘Another One’ is, in every way, a hypnotic track. From the psychedelic production, to the atmospherically minimalist instrumental accompaniment, to Thandii’s distinctive voice. Alongside the track, is the disorienting, mesmerising video which sees Thandii move from location to location, singing along and dancing. Out of context, the clips used seem (almost) ordinary, but with the piece ringing out above, an extra level of surrealism is layered in. ‘Another One’ tells the story of “infatuation or addiction, particularly between people. [Thandii] wanted to explore that moment when a person has succumbed to the influence of another, and it has a powerful effect on them, but they’re completely unaware of it - or maybe they are aware of it but don’t want to accept it’s change on them”. -Dan Peeke
