New kids on the block Temptress left a very strong impression with their debut single, which dropped a month or so ago. They now return with its B-side, 'Turning Into You' - which removes any doubt that they are the real deal. Employing glistening pools of synthesiser, alongside subtle finger clicks and snaps - the London-based duo have made themselves a shimmering instrumental bed for their impassioned dual vocals. The harmonies on display are executed to utter perfection throughout, and there’s hints of jazz in the melodic execution too - all the better for it in our opinion. The impressive production, the effortless vocal delivery, the intriguing song-writing touches - it all appears to come very naturally to Temptress, and we can’t wait to hear what else they’ve got up their sleeves. -JC
