SUPERJAZZCLUB 911

Tailing their sumptuous recent single 'OFF', multidimensional Ghanian collective SuperJazzClub have shared the equally excellent '911'. Cradled by vibey keys samples, that cut and ripple in all the right spots, distant beats shuffle the sonic palette, holding down layer upon layer of unorthodox rhythmic elements. Coming together to form an effortless groove, blissed out vocals contrast with the track's respectively severe lyricism as the band explain: “Thematically, it’s a song that talks about karma and how things always come back round. In the hook, BiQo talks about Karma being in the streets looking for him. Using a killer as a metaphor for how severe the effects of his Karma could be. He’s calling 911 as a way of asking for help to elude his karma”. Arriving alongside another classy black and white visualiser, '911' is yet another impressive release from stars-in-the-making SuperJazzClub. -Holly Mullineaux
