It's pretty clear from his "visual press release" that there's not much that Noah Sacré takes seriously in life, except the glaringly intelligent pogo-pop he cooks up under the Speelburg moniker. Stood chomping lumps out of a watermelon segment, the half-Belgian, half-American producer, vocalist, occasional MC (really) professes a love for Tom Hanks, .gifs and grapefruits in the ultra-DIY teaser video, but when it comes to his music, 'Lay It Right' is as good an example as any of his brash indie disco designs. "Well honey I know your pages are waiting to be read," he purrs over a burbled beat and brass so unashamedly triumphant it's no longer remotely cheesy. If you're in London on June 11th, his debut show shouldn't be missed. - DC
