Soccer Mommy - the musical project of twenty-year old Nashville native Sophie Allison - has shared a new single in the shape of 'Cool'. As its title suggests, Allison continues to stake a claim as one of the breakout names in the burgeoning US indie scene, thanks to her nonchalant, lo-fi leaning aesthetic and knack for punk-tinged work which remains centred around her effortless songwriting skill. Taken from her forthcoming debut album proper Clean - due 2 March on the iconic Fat Possum Records - and appearing alongside news of tour dates with fellow attention-grabber Phoebe Bridgers, 'Cool' quite simply does what it says on the tin. -G.O'B
