Bandcamp veteran and bedroom-pop aficionado Soccer Mommy will make her Fat Possum debut with Collection on the 4th of August, an aptly titled 'greatest hits' of sorts, comprised of the best bits of her career so far plus a few new works. Soccer Mommy is the project of Sophie Allison, a nineteen-year-old Nashville native who built her reputation as a DIY artist, recording her own songs and releasing them for free. 'Inside Out' is a lo-fi wash of blissed out guitars, subtle synthesizers and cooing backing vocals, which give way to Allison's coolly casual vocals. In true Soccer Mommy style, all songs on Collection have been written, recorded, produced and mixed by Sophie, maintaining her reputation as the Nashville queen of DIY. Soccer Mommy will play Visions Festival in London on the 5th of August. -HLMX
