Quickly establishing herself as one to watch, is Kent-based artist Shells - who is sharing her second single this week. Following up on her impressive debut, new cut ‘Jagwar’ is a somewhat theatrical, stunningly arranged take on RnB. Her soulful vocal turns are interspersed with squelching synths, reverb-sodden percussion snaps, and delicately placed string sections. Offering a little more insight into the meaning behind ‘Jagwar’ - Shells has said: "'Jagwar' is about letting go of something you love, and being stronger for it.” The more you listen to the track, the more it becomes apparent that Shells is quite bitter about something here. The lyrics sound fierce, abrasive - all set to a backdrop of dark, yet high reaching-instrumentals.
