Taken from the upcoming 2020 album White Lilies, Oh Little Ghost has dropped the atmospheric folky ballad ‘You Before Me’. The track kicks off with a vulnerable vocal placed over a quiet acoustic guitar, before the building textures give off an even more distant sound. Around halfway through, a fiddle solo fades away and effectively allows the song to reform itself entirely, building back up with electric guitar and percussion playing new rhythms, new chords and new melodies. This is a great piece of composition which manages to balance a haunting atmosphere with some truly beautiful melodies. - Dan Peeke
