The release of NIMMO's most recent track, ‘Orange Skies’ has been met with acclaim, as the production skills of the band’s superstar friend Maya Jane Coles have helped to promote the release. Disco inflections can be heard throughout, alongside an almost electro-pop accompaniment that sits below the vocals, which swap between a catchy, upbeat chorus and a more stern, low, verse. It’s an ambitious project, but standing atop the firm footing provided by their previous singles such as ‘My Only Friend’ and ‘Dancing Makes Us Brave’, this release was always destined to be a success. -Dan Peeke
