LOWERTOWN CAROLINE

‘Caroline’ is taken from the debut Lowertown album Friends, which dropped just a few days ago. It’s already getting a big response from fans, thanks to its lo-fi country-pop vibe, and the enticingly monotone vocal style and bouncy acoustic guitar tone that combine in the mix. The tune is a strange but unique blend of Iron And Wine and Bon Iver in its sound, while the lyrics: 'words won’t get you anywhere, just go and get a job, wasting time on stupid things, will make you feel bad after long, and I won’t stop thinking about all, this time I’ve used on you, and the time I’ve wasted, knowing I knew what to do' give off a huge Ben Folds influence. -Dan Peeke
