We first fell for New York future soul singer Jojee when we heard her punky debut track 'I Don't Give A' back in June. Since then she's put out one more pensive, mood-setting slow-burner in 'Think Of Anything', and with the arrival of 'Unravel Me' this week, we make that a perfect three-for-three. Evoking a similar sense of febrile tension and unspent energy with stuttering drums and flutters of otherwordly synths knitted together under Jojee's indulgent vocal, 'Unravel Me' feels like her most complete track so far. This is the sound of an artist finding her sound, ready for a proper assault on the mainstream next year. - DC
