It really was only a matter of time before Jimmy Napes, the man who co-penned some of the biggest pop songs in recent memory - including Disclosure's 'Latch', Sam Smith's and Naughty Boy's 'La La La' and the ubiquitous 'Rather Be' by Clean Bandit - stepped out of the shadows with a solo offering, and 'Give It Up' is exactly the sort of high-gloss future-facing dance-pop stonker we were hoping for. The tale of "an old friend who lost his way" told through the eyes of the smooth-as-can-be Napes, 'Give It Up' features production from one half of Disclosure, Howard Lawrence, who will release the track on March 9th via their Method Records imprint. - DC
