Multi-talented South Londoner Jacob Reed aka Jerkcurb, is a gifted musician, songwriter and illustrator. His latest creative effort 'Voodoo Saloon' is possibly Reed's most accomplished piece to date, as wobbly slide-guitar vibrates woosily into beautifully subdued verses with layered vocals, warming acoustic guitars and percussion. The sprawling 5 minute track floats along gently making for a somewhat magical psychedelic journey, which encourages you to surrender yourself to its chilled-out dreamy universe. To compliment the single, Reed is creating a comic of his illustrated world. The comic titled Snakedog tells the story of “a man and his limbless pet travelling through the desert in search for the man’s missing wife.” Jerkcurb will play the Lexington in London on the 11th of October. - HLMX
