International Teachers of Pop is the newest project from The Moonlandingz and Electronic Research Council's Dean Honer and Adrian Flanagan. Having recruited Leonore Wheatley (of The Soundcarriers and Whyte Horses) on vocals, this quirky threesome certainly know their way around a synthesizer or two. Their dance floor-filling second single 'After Dark' features a groovy-as-hell arpeggiated synth bass line (think Donna Summer's 'I Feel Love' meets Gary Numan's 'Cars'), disco-y sound effects and Wheatley's intoxicating yet distinctively British-sounding vocals. If that wasn't enough, the accompanying video stars the brilliant British actress Maxine Peake getting down on the dance floor with a creepy-looking baby doll and the likes of Fat White Family's Nathan Saoudi and Donald Trump, because why the hell not? -Holly Mullineaux
