Having already been turning heads of publications and her audience alike, Norway’s HALIE is certainly an impressive new talent. ‘Circling’ continues to show her potential through its subtle, atmospheric pop stylings and a soulful lead vocal that keeps us guessing throughout. Unique percussive lines create the most interest throughout, whether they’re bouncing around quietly in the background towards the beginning, or forming a pseudo military march as the piece crescendos into its climax.
