EVER has just dropped ‘Glow’, a catchy pop track built on unique percussive loops and a Bon Iver influenced use of vocoder, editing and countermelodies. When the track drops into its chorus, the bass provides a thick, distorted texture, while every now and again subtle piano chords provide twinkly relief from the intense thudding of the low end. Beneath the interesting electronic instrumentation, jazzy harmonic patterns are used to add another layer to the composition, though it is the relaxed, yet powerful lead vocal that really shines. ‘Glow’ is taken from the debut EP, Golden Hour, which is out now. - Dan Peeke
