DORJ DON'T CARE

Emek Hefer is a tiny town on the Israeli coast, it's also where new producer Dorj, aka Dor Turgeman was taught to sing by his granddad, a renowned singer of Moroccan descent. Dorj learned the guitar and piano at age nine, and hasn't looked back since, moving to Tel Aviv to study classical composition in his twenties. The multi-instrumentalist has shifted gear, moving away from orchestras and choirs into a world populated by the likes of Jack Garratt, Jai Paul and Kaytranada with his first immaculately balanced alternative R&B cut, 'Don't Care'. Drawn from the forthcoming FORGETMOVEONDONTCARE EP, 'Don't Care''s palette of layered reverb-y guitars, coruscating droplets of synth and clipped percussion ebb and flow in perfect harmony with Dorj's angelic croon. A sparkling - very modern - debut; we can't wait to hear more. - DC
