It’s perhaps Biig Piig's most upbeat and summery single yet. Bongos and uplifting piano chords pave the way for a funky slap bass line, which builds a groove that you can’t help but sway to (especially when the synthetic claps come in). There is a nice amount of space, adding to the breeziness of 'Sunny'. Jess’ vocals are gentle and relaxed, as if reflecting the sunshine, when she sings "You look peaceful dancing in the sun, Love is thirsting when it's true". The track’s both catchy and fresh, especially when considering her backlog of music, which tends to be more down-beat and lyrically solemn. It’s like a breath of fresh air. -Ellie Rose Davies
