Cherished South London ensemble Baggio share their spritely new single ‘Soup’. The upbeat concoction of both acoustic and electric guitars, rapid bass and vibrant drums propel the triumphant piece forward at speed. Peppered with catchy guitar licks, scratchy synth sounds and joyful group vocals, songwriter Ben Wyborn explains, “Soup is a song about friendship. I wrote it during the summer after lockdown, when most evenings were spent drinking beers on Telegraph Hill with anyone who lived within walking distance. Lots of those people went on to become members of Baggio; and the first line of the song is about walking past Tom from Double Dare's house. Friendship is integral to everything Baggio does, and I think this song is a perfect encapsulation of that. Everyone involved in Baggio from the band to the label to the artists to the designers to the engineers are all friends.
