With an introduction that sounds like an indie version of Shift K3y's 'Not Into it', Alice Jemima has created an electronic sounding track entirely from live instrumentation in new single 'Liquorice'. Her curious mix of pop, bluesy guitars and quirky piano makes her incredibly hard to pigeon hole, but that might be the key to her success. Releasing her EP via Rob Da Bank's label, Sunday Best, on 17th June, it's clear she has the ear for clever songwriting and 'Liquorice' has an undeniably catchy beat with its punchy clapping and a choppy hook.
