It’s been a pretty quiet year to date for TMR favourite Jordan Rakei. His critically-acclaimed album Wallflower was the sound of Autumn and a worldwide tour was peppered with dates at Glastonbury, Dimensions and the North Sea Jazz Festival. It shows no sign of slowing down this year, with forthcoming dates supporting Bonobo and pretty much every trendy festival this side of the Atlantic, but until now it’s been relatively quiet on the music front. Enter ‘Wildfire’, however – Rakei’s latest single which takes its inspiration from a friendship which broke down. “I often write about the concept of overthinking but this track deals more with acceptance for the sake of peace of mind.” – says Rakei.
