We’ve written before about New York artist snny and his refreshing spin on genres. So far he’s wowed us with his unique take on 80s electronic pop (‘Young Boy’) and spoken word (‘Arizona’), but his new single ‘Let’s Not Pretend’ takes classic R&B and turns it on its head. The track is a collaboration with producer LEFTI and is a summery slowjam with a fat low-end and sparkling synths. In a homage to a girlfriend who left him to go home to Paris, the chorus has sprinklings of French: ‘Let's not pretend/Prends juste mon Coeur/C’est ici pour toi/Let's not pretend’.
