NADINE is the newest project out of Minneapolis, made up of various members of collectives Phantom Posse and Ava Luna. Just yesterday they shared the first taster of their debut album oh my, ‘Ultra Pink’ which is due out in late January via Memphis and Father/Daughter. Musically it’s wonderfully weird, combining elements of electro, jazz, pop and everything in-between. What holds ‘Ultra Pink’ together though, is Nadia Hullett’s lilting vocal crying ‘don’t tell me that I’m some kind of woman’. Speaking about the track, the group say that it’s about “knowing you can do something before you do it”. We can’t wait to see what this truly original project have up their sleeves next. -HM
