‘Revolver’ is the latest single from Luca Chesney’s upcoming album, Mother Electric, and if this track is anything to go by then electronic instrumentation is certainly an integral aspect of the record. Throughout, the ghostly, oscillating digital beats are unrelenting, not in an aggressive way, more like tempered trap leaning towards pop. Of course, you’re bound to be drawn to the young New Yorker’s polished vocal, making this a soulful ballad as much as a piece of poppy electronica - these two worlds merge seamlessly on ‘Revolver’. Speaking about this newest single, Luca Chesney says that “‘Revolver’ is a playful love song to the kind of truth that can unravel your life if you let it. ‘Revolver’ is what drives us to annihilate our comfortable ideas, our familiar place in society, and the stories we tell ourselves just to see if there is something underneath.
