Having just arrived back in London from Sweden yesterday, we're naturally a little bummed not to be relaxing in a pub with the fire roaring and the gløgg flowing freely, but that disappointment is nicely tempered by finding 'Next To Me', the debut song from Malmo's Swim waiting in our inbox. A sleek, electronic-pop number with just a hint of despondency to it, 'Next To Me' brings suitable warmth to the table with lead vocalist Erika's passionate whispers meeting Carl's sultry instrumentation halfway. The duo took their online friendship into the real world not too long ago, and have been creating sweet, subtly infectious tracks like this ever since. We can't wait to hear some more of them. - DC
