SLEEP EATERS GHOST ON FIRE

Rising from the ashes of Whistlejacket and Puffer, newly-formed Hackney Wick outfit Sleep Eaters have just shared their smokin' hot debut 'Ghost on Fire'. Released via Strong Island Recordings (home to the early works of Arrows of Love, Is Bliss, Bo Gritz & Ugly), 'Ghost on Fire' is an unhinged slice of psychobilly action that pairs rampant garage-rock inspired riffs with warped country vocals and lashings of punk-rock attitude. The Katia Ganfied-directed clip captures the band's DIY aesthetically perfectly, flashing between footage of their recent performance at the legendary Brixton Windmill, and lots of things catching fire overlaid with disorientating visual effects. To celebrate, Bad Vibrations will be hosting a launch party at a warehouse in Hackney Wick this Saturday (7th July) with support from The Rebel (Country Teasers) and Honkies. -Holly Mullineaux
