Rotterdam artist SEVDALIZA's new single, 'Marilyn Monroe', has a similarly tragic air to it as the woman it was named after. There's warmth to be found in the 27-year-old's tone, but she still feels disconnected, far off, and altogether a more despondent soul, at least compared to the spotlight-stealing siren encountered on much of The Suspended Kid EP. Still, 'Marilyn Monroe' comes off as one of SEVDALIZA's most beautiful and emotionally open tracks-to-date. - DC
