This jazzy piece of alternative rock is a very hidden gem, from an almost completely unknown band called Seronegatives. ‘The Lighthouse’ kicks off with a beautifully mixed bassline which goes on to interact with washy chords and a subtle, metallic lead line. The entry of the vocal gives off a feeling of a slow, laid-back Red Hot Chilli Peppers track, while the chorus lyric, “I was in the lighthouse, You were in the deepest blue, I was in the lighthouse, And the ocean sang with you” is complimented by the sudden entry of a crunchy distorted guitar.
