Mysterious musician SAKES has soundtracked all the nights that have ever gone wrong with new single ‘Wake Up Make Up’. Appearing out of the ether like the haze of a memory from the night before, SAKES' vocals are hauntingly powerful, and matching them with layers of cloudy synths only emphasises the emotional high and lows of getting carried away in both love and excess. He certainly knows how to eke out drama as 'Wake Up Make Up' slowly builds from a ballad into fever pitch, breaking in all the right places before slipping back into calm again.
