PURPLE PILGRIMS THRU EVRY CELL

New Zealand seems to install something inherently ethereal within its singer-songwriters, and Christchurch raised sisters, Clementine and Valentine Nixon or Purple Pilgrims are no exception. New single 'Thru Evry Cell' is a capacious soundscape layered from distorted harmonies and minimalist guitars, produced in a way to evoke dreaming rather than foreboding. This is the last song taken from their debut album Eternal Delight (out via LA-based Not Not Fun on 26th February) and the pair have not been afraid to experiment with psychedelic musical treatment with pensive results. Maybe it’s the sister psychic bond, but there is something deeply spectral and otherworldly about this duo. -SJ
