Taking aim at the more vacuous elements of the music industry, while celebrating creativity at the same time, Petal pulls no punches in ‘Better Than You’. According to Kiley Lotz, the song - and accompanying video - “encapsulates the feeling of having fun and also feeling like you always have to be performing in some way in this industry, even if you feel hollow inside.” Eliminating her own artistic self doubt in a burst of tuneful fuzz, it’s a fine return from her 2015 debut album.
