After a summer of digging his heels into his new surroundings and writing plenty of new material, Garrett is ready to re-introduce his sound with this psych-pop meets indie-rock single. On the cusp of turning 18 years old, Garrett’s sound is sophisticated beyond his years, surely helped along by a listening history of Jimi Hendrix, John Mayer, Alice In Chains and The Black Keys. ‘Morning’ marks a new chapter for the young songwriter who has delivered a song of floating, overlapping vocal melodies, psychedelic instrumentation, axe-slinging solos and a stealthy production courtesy of Garrett alongside Cody Martinez and Joe Wyatt.
