MINT JULEP WHITE HOT HEART

Comprised of musical innovator and man behind the Helios and Goldmund monikers, Keith Kenniff, and his talented singer wife Hollie, Mint Julep is a shoegaze side project that has taken off in its own right. What started with modest intentions as a way to encourage his wife to sing and write lyrics, the duo have kept it fairly under the radar and grown their sound organically; they now step forward with a more considered single 'White Hot Heart', taken from forthcoming LP Broken Devotion out 12th February. Full of raw emotion, the married musicians have harnessed the power of their relationship and delve into a symbiotic world of lush synths and shimmering guitars. Taking influence from early '90’s shoegaze, Mint Julep has also infused elements from the world of electronics, indie, punk rock and industrial music.  We must say that whatever flavours they’ve added to this musical cocktail, we’re happy to drink it up. -SJ
