MEADOWLARK SATELLITE

Meadowlark marked the release of their Believe Recordings' Paraffin EP with another gorgeous track in the shape of 'Satellite'. Following-on from the sumptuous title track, the Bristol duo - Kate McGill (vocals, keys) and Daniel Broadley (guitar, synths) - once again blend gently atmospheric synths with clicking rhythms and a stunning lullaby melody to create their effortlessly cooling sound. "The thought of your skin on mine was enough to break me down" McGill coos with a hushed sincerity that pulls at the heartstrings and builds on the twinkling melancholia. With a string of live shows set for the next couple of months, including appearances at Dot To Dot and Bushstock, Meadowlark seem very nicely placed to continue on their trail of moving electro-pop. -G.O'B
