From the first minute of this new single, you would be duped into thinking that Durham four piece Martha are a twee mix of gentle indie with stripped back guitars but skip through the into and they show their true garage rock colours with a sudden blast of electric guitars. Entitled 'Ice Cream and Sunscreen', the track is part of the band's new album Blisters In The Pit Of My Heart, out now on Fortuna Pop and it reminds us of an early Los Campesinos; loud, messy and full to the brim of uncontainable energy.
