It's been a while since we've heard anything from the Danish Bella Union singees Lowly. Taken from the same recording sessions as their stunning debut album Heba, which arrived early last year, 'Wood' is an uplifting slice of synth-heavy dream pop that didn't quite make the cut. The band explain, "This song has always been sort of an ‘odd one out’ for us. We never could tell whether it really was a Lowly song or just a song that made Lowly feel really good when playing it!" Having searched for an excuse to release it over the last year, 'Wood' has finally been set free into the world with it's airy vocals, catchy melodies and rich, swelling synthesizers. With no further confirmation of new music on the horizon yet, 'Wood' arrives as Lowly embark on their first US tour, which begins next month in New York. -Holly Mullineaux
