Khushi's Phantoms EP brought out the best in his delicate, hyper-detailed guitar-pop. The record was released over a year ago, and we haven't heard a peep from the London native since. In a world where artists are quickly dispensed of, to be replaced by a new 'next big thing', it's easy for someone to slip through the cracks without a sound. Thankfully though, Khushi isn't a victim of his early success, if anything, his comeback track (of sorts) should propel his thoughtful, hooky songwriting to dizzier heights. Penned about wanting to get off with someone and begin a new adventure with them, 'Stories' is one of Khushi's more texturally developed works, with triumphantly parping horns, tolling bells and a rugged bassline shunting the melody along prettily while he adds softly spoken little romantic asides. - DC
