JERKCURB WALKING IN THE AIR

The multi-talented wonder Jerkcurb, hailing from South London, has just released his hazily tranquil cover of 'Walking in the Air'. The song is sleepily slow, creating a cosy and trippy soundscape. The snare is lazy and inflected with a tonne of reverb, which paired with the minimal bass part, makes for a dubby haven as srings create a wonderful spaciousness. The track feels like it would suit a warped western film, or a fictional world within the mind-bending art that he creates. The female vocals in this track are performed by Woom members Lara and Ella. They are graceful and pure, filling up a space that feels cosmically infinite with high, breathy carol and measured harmonies. Jerkcurb's verse is equally touching, layered with subtle harmony and plucked electric guitar. 'Walking in the Air' by Jerkcurb is the most elegant and innovative of Christmas songs and there's no doubt it'll bring you pure joy. -Ellie Rose-Davies
