As we approach the end of 2018, J Tropic completes a triplet of intelligent dance music with ‘Never Enough’. It follows the tropical floor-fillers ‘Hold Me Close’ and ‘Thinking Of You’ and this time the UK producer opts for a more mellow flavour on ‘Never Enough’. Opening with Albert Gold’s smooth vocals, the suspense building first verse features electronic claps and a rising tempo to tempt the listener to lean in closer with each inclement. Although, you may want to step back a little as the trap and synth notes set into full endorphin-inducing stride on that initial drop. During the quieter moments, the track is reminiscent of soul duo Honne, pondering over a recent, longed-for love, but paired with the production prowess of Jai Paul. It's a vibrant, emotionally charged clue as to what to expect on J Tropic’s upcoming EP, to be released in 2018 via ROYALBEACH. - HT
