Brighton-based duo IYES seem to expand on their hugely diverse musical palette with pretty much every release; whether it's transforming Beyonce's 'Crazy In Love' into an alt-pop banger or pulling us into a smoke-filled house of mirrors on 'Breathe'. Melis and Josh never disappoint. Their latest tune, 'So Crazy' is another change of gear, with rocket-fueled 8-bit beats careening into screwed up samples and their catchy shared verses. It's the first track drawn from their new EP, Part One, and a refreshing reminder of how new artists can have a non-conformist attitude and still create brilliant, immediately accessible pop music. - DC
