HAVELOCK PIG LATIN

We have a TMR first-timer for you today with emerging London artist Havelock. Growing up in the Kent countryside, Havelock decided early on that the country life wouldn’t be for him, and found himself fully submerged in the hustle and bustle of the big city. His music typifies the current British sound, especially that of the next generation of musicians like Yellow Days, Oscar Jerome, or Mom Tudie. Throughout ‘Pig Latin’, Havelock touches on relatable themes of the highs and lows, the romance and hardships, the comforts and gloom that millennials are so accustomed to. It’s this sense of familiarity that Havelock shares with the audience, an easy backbeat shrug of the shoulder, dreamy guitars that say ‘we’re used to it’, and a saccharine voice that repeatedly tells us that the truth “falls on deaf ears.” We look forward to seeing how Havelock develops over the year; more music soon we hope. - Hannah Thacker
