Since signing to Rough Trade, the formidable foursome have toured extensively with the likes of Fat White Family and The Moonlandingz and have somehow risen above an avalanche of hype with their dignity intact. With only 'Scum' and 'Country Sleaze' out there in the world so far, their new single 'Crow Cries' is a much-needed addition to their catalogue. Teaming up with Ed Ripley and Simon from Soup Studios with the help of producer extraordinaire Dan Carey, 'Crow Cries' is a sinister yet energetic ramble of thudding drums, wandering guitars matched with singer Lottie's dead-pan delivery and witty lyrics. After playing a storming set at the legendary Brixton Windmill last night, the girls are gearing up for an extra special show next week supporting The Fall at another London institution the 100 Club and naturally it's already sold out. -HLMX
