You have to hand it to Australia, there's no other nation in the world right now producing pop bands as clean and as euphoric as our Antipodean cousins. Sydney three-piece Glades are another to add to the pile, coming off like M83 riffing with BROODS on their soaring debut track, 'Falling Away'. Moulded around vocalist Karina Wykes' glowing hook, 'Falling Away' is one of those steadily swelling electronic-pop numbers which reaches a genuine lighters-in-the-air climax, in this instance courtesy of Cam Robertson and Joey Wenceslao, whose atmospheric beats and expansive synth progressions bring the curtain down on a fine first offering with panache. - DC
