THE GARDEN NO DESTINATION

Prolific purveyors of surrealist lo-fi pop The Garden have announced their fourth LP Mirror Might Steal Your Charm with a breezy new single ‘No Destination’. Drifting away from their earlier sound, which consisted primarily of quirky 2-minute punk tracks, ‘No Destination’ is a comparatively lengthy dream-pop number. Opening up with an exotic-sounding synthesizer, you’re instantly transported to warmer climates before Wyatt introduces his signature garage-rock-inspired bass sound, dowsed in reverb and slap delay. As always, the duo have shared a weird and wonderful video to accompany the track. Shot in the desert by Will Sipos, the cinematic clip sees Brandon Bartsch donning a jester's costume and cruising around the sunny Californian landscape in search of dog food, because you know, why wouldn't you? Check it out here now. -HLMX
